ProgressSoft concluded its participation at the Iraq Finance Expo (IFEX) which virtually took place from 22 – 24 June 2020.
The premier online conference and exhibition, which was co-hosted by the Central Bank of Iraq and Government of Iraq, discussed a wide range of topics including the challenges facing Iraq’s financial future as well as the financial and digital technologies driving the local economy.
As Payment Solution Partner of the event, ProgressSoft showcased its self-service and advanced payment systems suited for the payments ecosystem in Iraq including its renowned Mobile Payments Suite, Mobile Electronic Check Issuance and Deposit and Corporate Banking Suite among others.
Utilizing its expertise and successful implementations of its Interoperable Mobile Payment Switch, ProgressSoft presented IFEX attendees with insights on the importance of the solution in facilitating financial inclusion and connecting mobile payment service providers in the ecosystem in an exclusive presentation tackling ‘Financial Inclusion in Iraq’.
ProgressSoft also participated in an engaging panel discussion alongside Asia Fontier Capital, ThinkBank and Northern Gulf Partners on ‘Digital Transformation in a Mobile Market’ which discussed Iraq’s digital market and self-service channels for a digital economy. ProgressSoft particularly emphasized the importance of having a complete and interoperable digital platform that is not limited to mobile wallets, but rather wholly expands to cover remote customer onboarding and the automation of payments processing utilizing technologies such as ProgressSoft’s Electronic Know Your Customer and Payments Hub solutions.
