ProgressSoft, a world leading provider of real-time payment solutions, sponsors the 5th annual Model United Nations Conference (MUN), held by the Princess Sumayya University for Technology in Amman which consisted of both university and high school students from different backgrounds in Jordan, coming together each to represent a country and conduct a series of fruitful debates.
More than 200 students divided into 6 committees, which included the Security Council, Human Rights Council A, Human Rights Council B, the Disarmament Commission, the General Assembly, and the World Health Organization.
Each Committee identified its allies and enemies, in addition to their positions, interests and beliefs, regarding the topic that was being discussed. Topics tackled included countering violent extremism, protecting and promoting human rights, family planning, as well as many more.
ProgressSoft, as the Platinum Sponsor of this year’s conference, took part in the event where a delegation of its employees attended the 3-day debates to support the students, and rewarded the distinguished delegates.
